Task 36: Integrating Energy Recovery Into Solid Waste Management Systems

In September 2009 the Executive Committee of IEA Bioenergy approved a three-year work programme on Energy Recovery from Solid Waste – referred to as Task 36 (2010-2012). The Task Objectives include the maintenance of a network of participating countries as a forum for information exchange and dissemination.

The participating countries in this Task are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The Operating Agent for this Task is Kieran Power of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in the UK.

The Task leader is Dr Pat Howes from the AEA Group, UK and assistant Task Leader is Dr Niranjan Patel from Partnerships UK (PUK), UK.
